Danielle: Yes. You can add as many as you’d like to add. Just be sure to look at the css for categories and duplicate it for each new category you add by using the same procedures. You’ll have to then add your own css styles for each new category. So, yeah, you can add as many new categories as you wish.

is there a way to add more categories to the default? I think it would be nice to have an “excerpts” category for my longer posts (and display the post excerpt on the homepage) and maybe a “music” or “video” category for multimedia posts
