@Kim: Thanks! Feel free to wander anytime!

Yeah, labels are difficult things. I dislike them more and more everyday.

Some peripheral or culturally relative aspects of expressions change. Anabaptism is not exempt from this phenomenon. So, no I don't NOT try to seek converts; I also don't wear homemade clothing (though I could be persuaded given our penchant for designer, commercial fluff). :)

Hi Shawn,

I was looking for a picture... "dancing with God"... found your blog about your "soundtrack"... read on(past tense)... and well, I ended up spending some time wandring through your blogs. I am a sister in Christ and I am always glad to read or hear the testimonies of "siblings".

You refer to yourself as "anabaptist", which I suppose I am also, but I assume that does not include the historical context of shunning unbelievers/ not pursuing converts...? I had to dig a little deeper, because I have heard this word before, and had a vague idea of it's meaning, so I looked it up in it's literal, and thus historical, context.

Sometimes I hate labels... Pretty much, you can look at a persons life and they are what they are, but then again, only God can look at the heart. God sees past all the "noiz" in our lives. AMEN!

Which reminds me... how curious and serendipitous and synchronistic... Our church is starting a series this month, mainly focused on the high school youth but open to all, called "Noise", about the very subject of all that stuff that can so easily ensnare and distract.

Oh by the way... geat thoughts on the relationship between Trinity/Church Community... I see it in many facets of our lives, because we are made in the image of God. Great minds think alike... The preacher at our church spoke about this very thing not that long ago. :) ...great minds in the Spirit, that is.

Blessings,
Kim
