Mark Deiter, our community’s finance steward, said this about the Church: “I believe the church offers the greatest hope for bringing God’s redemptive work to this world.” He’s right. The chasm separating humanity from Jesus and his Kingdom is a wide one and God is constantly working redemption into our everyday lives. The church is God’s catalyst. We – everyday people – are the church! So, basically, this means that God’s redemptive work is accomplished through each one us. We are the bridge! But are we really connecting everyday people to God? Well, are we?
