I agree, I have Easy Worship 2009, its one of the best if not the best church presentation software out there. I first purchased it back in 2003-04 and they have came a long way.

Easy Worship does have a large price tag.

I have bought SongShow Plus and Media Shout as well, both are great programs, maybe a little harder to teach the consumer, but has different options that are great for bigger churches.

For almost every church I consult about video, I reccomend Easy Worship.

Open Source is great, don’t get me wrong, but it does lack features still yet that are needed for text over video and so on.

EasiSlides is the best… it’s worth the download…. very nice compared to easy worship…. just download and try it… thank you so much for this post…

I’ve also been trying an open source program called Easislides http://www.easislides.com/ and I think it’s really great. It’s similar to Easy Worship but with even more features.

I don’t think you can import powerpoint files into it though and it’s not compatible with Linux so far. (witch is something I’m looking for)

I’m from Germany and I’ve been searching for a nice worship software, too. Now I’m using OpenSong (www.opensong.org) and as far as I can see it connects to CCLI (I’m not using this function yet)

only one thing though, current version 1.0 do not support “Text over video” that’s one of my favorite in the MediaShout. Looking forward to it.
