Psalm 56:3: When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.

Christians, we were never promised a life without difficulty, anxiety, or fear. So long as we live life in this world, we will be faced with serious challenges that will seem insurmountable, at least initially. When we choose to become followers of Christ, we are not given exemption from all of life’s struggles. We are instead invited towards deep, deep fellowship with the ultimate source of our strength. A strength that can overcome struggles introduced to us in this world arises from a sacred place deep within living relationship with God. When we are afraid, we can trust our source of strength. When we are made anxious by conflict in this world, we can turn towards our God and find refuge. The Psalmist writes true: “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

Today’s Prayer: God, in my times of struggle and anxiety, and I know these times will be many so long as I journey through this world, compassionately remind me of the strength I have in you. Dispatch your Holy Spirit to me in times of tumult and lead me towards yourself and give me the courage to simply trust you. God, I need to trust you. I pray you increase my trust, as I do my best to turn towards you. Amen.

What i find curious is struggling to know the will of the Lord. Its a weird thing to be in fear, over doing right, in Gods eyes. But you know how i feel, we talked. Good word today. Amen, despite my confusion. Im smart enough to know I have missed something, and God is not picking on me.

    Thanks

Amen, Stephen. God has you and yours in mind, for sure. Stay attentive, as I know you will. You will know, my friend.
