A Facebook friend posted this small but hilarious video excerpt from The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
We’ve all seen this sort of talk show shtick before, but this is probably the funniest and most natural rendition of it I have ever watched. What a riot! Ellen was honestly humored by the whole conversation! Classic. Someone do tell Gladys that it is OK to have a drink once in a while.
And while we are telling Gladys important things, someone please tell her to trademark or somehow protect that phrase before opportunistic zealots steal it and reel off a million t-shirts and coffee mugs, and beer steins. It’s probably already too late, as this aired a few weeks ago it seems. Oh, well! Thanks Gladys!

This was really funny. I never watch Ellen’s show but this Older Texan Woman is hilarious! I do appreciate Ellen’s style however, and the fact that she welcomes criticism of her set with joyful enthusiasm, and then acts on in it.
I’m that overzealous kid who wants to put that on a t-shirt haha. I don’t even want to sell it, I just want one myself. haha. The only reason I wouldn’t wear something like that is to be thrown into the whole “Jesus is my homeboy” crew. Nothing inherently wrong there, it’s just that 95% of people wearing those shirts don’t have any reverence for Him either. Shawn, when you do up your site, make me a t-shirt too! :)
