EMERGING CHURCH IN LANCASTER CITY THROWS MOTHER’S DAY APPRECIATION BREAKFAST
Lancaster, PA – Progressive, Christian church in Lancaster city, known as Inner Metro Green, is providing a free breakfast for all mothers and families at 9:30am this Mother’s Day (Sunday, May 10th) at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church on the corner of Manor, Charlotte, and King.
Inner Metro Green (IMG) launched last fall and has been continuing to find its identity. The core values, mission, and guiding principles has not changed, but discovering how to do a Sunday morning service and “be the church” throughout the week has been something that the IMG community has been identifying over the past few months. Now that the church officially has its volunteer staff and board in place, the systems are running smoother and as the pastor Shawn Anthony said, “We are now able to invite the whole city into what we are doing!”
Inner Metro Green has received attention in the past for its belief in taking care of God’s creation (part of the reason the name “green” is in their title and not church).
After the Mother’s Day breakfast on Sunday morning, the Monday evening “house church”, or small group, from IMG is planning to do trash clean up. The church also only has two primary ministries outside of their small group gatherings, both include serving the needy.

IMG will do everything it can to provide food for as many as possible, but they do want to send the warning that the food could run out. Please be there promptly at 9:30am and if desired join them for their regularly scheduled worship at 11:15am at the same location.
