Today marked the start of a 10 week “Ten Tough Questions” Sunday series at Manor Brethren in Christ Church. Manor BIC is our home church. It is also the commissioning and sponsoring congregation for Inner Metro Green. So, when I was asked if I would preach one of the Sundays in this incredible series, I said yes, and emphatically so!
The gist of the advertisement blurb on the series postcard rings true: We all do have a lot of questions; Most of us don’t know where to go with our really important questions; God isn’t afraid of our tough questions, and neither are the people at Manor Church! In fact, they will be exploring these issues through September 2nd. It’ll be a summer long journey of exploration.
I’m scheduled to preach both services on the morning of July 15th. My topic is obvious in the title of my sermon: “If God is Good, Why is there so Much Suffering in the World?” If you are in the vicinity on Sunday, July 15th, be sure to drop in at Manor Church and join us for this journey!

We are basically a new church start, small, but vibrant and I thought that by offering a sermon series, like the one you did, would help us know where we all are together.
